I felt myself going down a dangerous path. It was a moment akin to those in which you find yourself on a dark walk home and think that perhaps you should’ve considered waiting until morning to venture out alone. I was headed out in the dark and the distance behind me was as great as that which lay before; it was too late to turn around. So I continued as we all do, blind, into the distance.
They say “when you meet the right one, you just know”. I knew, you didn’t. And I love you enough to let you go. If you change your mind, I’m here for you; if you don’t, I’m still here for you. I just can’t promise I’ll be able to do the same for the new girl.
